About the Nexus

Everything you need to understand the Dominion Nexus — what it is, how it works, and what is at stake within it.

Foundation

What is the Nexus?

The Dominion Nexus is a vast multiverse where realms, factions, and dimensions converge — not in harmony, but in constant negotiation. It is not a single world but a convergence of overlapping territories, each governed by its own rules and energies, all connected by the Celestial Threads that run beneath everything.

Factions clash, align, and maneuver within it — not for glory, but for influence, survival, and control over what the Nexus holds. Every decision made inside the Nexus carries weight that extends far beyond the immediate moment. The Threads remember. The Flux responds.

"The Nexus is alive, and the Threads hold."

Core Elements

The Forces at Work

Two forces define the mechanics of the Nexus above all others. Understanding them is understanding the Nexus itself.

The Celestial Threads

Luminous filaments connecting every realm within the Nexus, acting as conduits of power and influence. They are not passive infrastructure — they respond to intent, carry memory, and have been known to evolve. Certain beings can manipulate them, though the cost is rarely what they expect.

The Celestial Flux

A force that moves through the Nexus continuously, altering appearances, enhancing abilities, and occasionally bestowing entirely new ones. The Flux is not decorative — it is behavioral. It has opinions. Accepting or resisting its influence is one of the central tensions every faction navigates.

The Aeon Spire

At the Nexus core lies a structure that reveals itself only when the balance is most at risk, housing the Nexus Core — the anchor that keeps the realms from pulling apart. It has begun to communicate. Fragmented. Cryptic. Warning of something that has not arrived yet.

The Sundering

A catastrophic fracture that destabilized the Threads and erased the Nexus Guardians who once maintained the balance. What caused it, and whether it can happen again, remains the question every faction is quietly trying to answer — usually while pretending they aren't.

The Unknown

Mysteries of the Nexus

The Nexus does not give up its history willingly. The Guardians who once maintained the balance were erased in the Sundering — not killed, erased. Their names are absent from every record. The Threads still hold the shape of where they were, like a scar that never fully closes.

Deeper still, something moves through the gaps left by the Sundering. The Unseen do not operate at the faction level. They operate at the level of the Nexus itself — and no faction is certain what they want, only that they found the cracks and moved through them before anyone was looking.

Six Powers

The Factions

Six factions operate within the Nexus, each holding a different answer to the same question: what does the Nexus require of those who move within it? They are not simply enemies or allies — the lines shift constantly, and what looks like conflict from the outside is often negotiation from within.

The Story

Tales of the Nexus

The complete story of the Nexus spans 31 chapters across 6 volumes — following the Vanguard, the Veil, the Shadows, and every faction as the Threads begin to shift in ways no one can account for. It is not a war story. It is a story about what factions do when the ground beneath all of them starts to move.

The emotional throughline is trust — built slowly, broken quickly, and occasionally rebuilt in ways that surprise everyone involved. The Unseen are late. The Void-born retreat but are not gone. The Aeon Spire has begun to speak.
